New Delhi : India alleged on Wednesday that Pakistan’s nine mobile towers erected along the Pak-India border have security-related implications for India.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Radhika M Selvi informed Rajya Sabha that a survey conducted at 44 locations on the Indian side of the border by the Vigilance and Telecom Monitoring Cell of Department of Telecommunication in February found that Pakistani mobile signals were reaching 39 locations inside Indian territory.
The Indian Minister said that necessary remedial steps were taken from time to time to deal with the situation.
India has fenced a total of 1912.31 kilometre of Indo-Pak border till February this year while the proposed length for fencing is 2007.63 km.
