Suryaprakash died Saturday when his car rammed into the railing of a bridge and plunged 100 feet into a dry riverbed in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh. He was on his way to Indore from Bhopal.

Suryaprakash was undergoing training to become a pilot at a private institute in Madhya Pradesh. He died of his head injuries on way to a private hospital in Bhopal. Three of his friends who were travelling with him sustained multiple injuries and were recovering.

After being told of his only son’s death, Netam slipped into depression and doctors were called to treat him.

“He (Netam) is deeply shocked and breaks down whenever some friend or relative calls to offer condolences. He is finding it very tough to console his wife and two daughters,” a family source told IANS.

Suryaprakash’s body was cremated Sunday at Netam’s native village of Sanawal in Surguja district. Chhattisgarh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister Raman Singh and other politicians attended the funeral.
