Mumbai : Anil Ambani’s Reliance Energy has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs.11.78 billion ($295 million) for 2007-08, up 41.2 percent over over Rs.8.34 billion ($190 million) for the previous year.
Total Income of the company rose 22.54 percent from Rs.77.7 billion to Rs.97.6 billion for the year ended March 31, 2008, as per the audited results released Monday.
The company’s board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs.6.30 per share for its shareholders.
The company’s shares were up 2.19 percent at Rs.1,358.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the results were announced.
