Pune : Auto manufacturer SkodaIndia Thursday announced sales of 1,814 cars in April 2008, showing an 81.4 percent growth over April 2007.
The figure includes 834 units of India’s first super hatch SkodaFabia.
SkodaIndia, a fully owned subsidiary of SkodaAuto a.s. Czech Republic (Volkswagen Group), has a manufacturing base in Shendra near Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
Skoda, operating in India since November 2001, has a network of 54 dealerships across the country and has sold over 55,000 units since. It has 19 models on offer in India.
