Gaza : Four Palestinians were injured early on Sunday during an Israeli incursion executed in Khaza’a town, east the city of Khan Younis, in the south of Gaza Strip.
Witnesses said Israeli troops boarding tanks and armored military vehicles stormed Khaza’a at dawn, under cover of a barrage of gunfire.
Israeli gunship helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft participated in the attack, during which the troops on the ground executed a house-to-house search, detaining several residents.
The Israeli bulldozers demolished and gravely damaged farms and agricultural lands. They also damaged some of the town’s infrastructural utility buildings, the witnesses said.
Palestinian medical sources in Khan Younis said a resident, Mohammed Al-Najjar, 23, was severely injured with sniper fire during the incursion. He was hospitalized at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, said the sources.
Meanwhile, three Palestinian militants were seriously injured in an Israeli air raid, the sources said, adding that an Israeli aircraft fired a sole missile targeting a group of gunmen who were combating the Israeli incursion.
