Islamabad : The Government of Pakistan will release 99 Indian prisoners including 96 fishermen and three civil prisoners from Pakistani jails on May 24 as a goodwill gesture.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik, talking to newsmen here said that the national status of the Indian prisoners has been confirmed by the Indian Government. They were apprehended by the Maritime Security Agency for violation of Pakistans Exclusive Economic Zone while poaching in Pakistani waters.
