New Delhi : Panic gripped the Chawri Bazar metro station in Old Delhi after an anonymous caller Saturday threatened to blow it up, the police said.
“A call was received at the police control room at around 12.45 p.m. that bombs had been planted at the Chawri Bazaar station,” a police officer said.
Bomb disposal teams and dog squads were rushed to the station but a thorough search of the premises led to nothing. “The call was hoax,” the official said. “We are trying to identify the caller.”
