Junagadh (Gujarat) : An eight-year-old lioness died Sunday morning in the Babrividi area of Gir forest range in Gujarat, a forest department source said.
“The post-mortem has not been completed yet,” said the source, adding that the lioness may have died due to snake-bite.
Gir is the only home of the Asian lion.
