RJD Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Council did not attend the meeting and alleged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was deliberately not taking up work related to welfare of minorities. RJD leaders also charged the state government for not implementing central schemes including ‘Indira Awas Yojna’ (Indira Housing Scheme) in Patna.

They alleged Sushil Kumar Modi, deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and the state Finance Minister of implementing the RSS agenda in the state. The government’s anti-minority approach is evident from the fact that not a single house has been constructed out of 1400 houses under the scheme meant for minorities, they alleged.

Those who boycotted the meeting included RJD MPs Ram Kirpal Yadav, Patna, Ganesh Prasad Singh, Jahanabad, Vijay Krishna, Barh and Shyam Rajak, RJD MLA, Phulwari Sharif.

Ram Kripal Yadav said no developmental work for minorities can be done until Shushil Kumar Modi remains the in-charge minister for Patna district. He reminded that 1400 houses had to be built in the district for minorities under ‘Indira Awas Yojna.
