Islamabad : Pakistan said Monday that perpetrators of bomb attack on Danish embassy in Islamabad have damaged the country’s image.
At least six persons were killed and 25 others were injured in an apparent car bomb blast at the main gate of Denmark embassy, Secretary Interior Syed Kamal Shah said.
Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir visited Danish embassy to express sympathies with the charge’d affaires over the deadly blast.
“Certainly damaged the blast has damaged image of our country,” Bashir told reporters outside the embassy building.
“I have come here to convey to the charge’d affaires on behalf of the President, the Prime minister, the Foreign Minister and government of Pakistan our sincere condolences, sympathies and solidarity at this terrible attack that was unleashed today against one of our embassies resident in Islamabad,” he said.
“It is the most evil most vicious attack. We realize and also convey sentiments of the people of Pakistan and Pakistani nation feel very ashamed today on the incident”.
