Chandigarh : The Chandigarh administration has launched a pilot project to provide financial assistance to needy children suffering from congenital heart diseases for their surgery at a premier hospital here, a health department spokesman said Tuesday.
The administration will bear all expenses of such children to be treated at the Post-graduate institute of medical education and research (PGIMER).
Paediatrician Paramjit Singh has been appointed nodal officer for the implementation of the project.
