Manama : The strong relationship between Kuwait and Bahrain emanates from the historic and family ties that bind the two peoples together, said Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah Friday evening.
The ambassador was speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of a dinner banquet hosted by head of Bahrain’s ruling family and Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Affairs Council Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al-Khalifa.
These distinguished relations continue to grow and flourish thanks to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, he said.
Moreover, he said these relations were based on the principles of Islam and Arab forefathers, which called for strengthening ties so that the people may stand together as one in good times and in bad.
