Tehran : Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Tuesday that Tehran welcomes expansion of the all-out relations with Bolivia, according to the presidential office.
“We hope the two sides’ high-ranking officials would continue efforts to further broaden ties between the two countries,” said Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Bolivian special envoy to Tehran, Carlos Garcia, state news agency IRNA cited the presidential office as saying.
Garcia submitted a written message from Bolivian President Evo Morales and voiced satisfaction with the expansion of ties between Iran and Bolivia, the report said.
Lauding Iran’s humanitarian assistance to Bolivia, Garcia called for benefits from Iran’s invaluable experiences in oil, gas and agriculture sectors.
During Ahmadinejad’s visit to Bolivia last year, Iran and Bolivia signed several cooperation agreements in areas such as oil and gas industries.
Garcia said his visit to Iran is aimed to study ways to accelerate the implementation of the bilateral agreements between the Latin American country and Iran.
