Pranab likely to meet Left leaders Saturday too

New Delhi : Senior Congress leader and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who met Left leaders Friday evening to attempt to iron out differences over the contentious India-US nuclear deal, has deferred his departure for Australia Saturday from morning to evening.

Mukherjee, who met CPI-M leader Prakash Karat and CPI leader D. Raja Friday evening, is likely to hold another round of meetings with the communists Saturday too. He was earlier scheduled to leave for Australia in the morning.

He is going on a two-day visit to Australia during which he will discuss greater cooperation in trade and energy between the two countries.
