It will be re-opened for the traffic Thursday, said a press release issued by the state Public Works Department (PWD).

The bridge is a crucial link to the Sikh shrine at Manikaran and Gadsa Valley in Kullu district.

The bridge was built to withstand up to 15 tonnes of weight but the vehicle was carrying a 65-tonne load. The truck-trailer remained precariously perched on a section of the collapsed bridge for over 10 days.
