Subhashish Mitra, 31, an executive with Gurgaon-based multinational corporation Zentec, has been missing since June 18 when he went to the company’s Delhi office for a meeting.

His wife, Arunita Mitra, alleges that her husband has been kidnapped. She filed a complaint with the Ghaziabad police the next day. But she alleges that police are not interested in pursuing the case.

“My husband used to call me once or twice daily from his office, but since June 18, after leaving home, his phone is either non-reachable or switched off,” she said Wednesday.

“The Ghaziabad police have been lax in investigating the case. They have entered the case in the general diary and just wrapped it up. I then lodged a complaint with Delhi Police since Subhashish was in his Delhi office when I last talked to him.”

Arunita believes that her husband was kidnapped from “somewhere from and around his Delhi office” in Shahadra Park.
