New Delhi : A 22-year-old man was killed by a speeding Blueline bus in south Delhi Saturday evening, police said.
According to the police, the victim, Umesh, was riding a bike when the bus hit him from behind in New Friends Colony. He was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead.
The driver of the route number 430 bus, Pawan, has been arrested.
The privately owned Blueline buses, considered the lifeline of the metropolis, have been dubbed “killer buses” after negligent driving have caused hundreds of deaths on the capital’s roads.
