New Delhi : Engineering construction major Punj Lloyd has won a Rs.10.05-billion contract for a thermal power project in Punjab, the company announced Thursday.
The contract by Hyderabad’s GVK Power involves setting up the Govindwal Sahib coal-fired thermal power project in Punjab, the company said in a regulatory statement.
The thermal power plant will have two units of a 270 megawatts each, and is expected to be completed by mid-2011.
With this, Punj Lloyd’s consolidated orders have gone up to Rs.212.5 billion.
