Gaza : The Israeli Army successfully tested a special system to intercept Palestinian missiles launched from Gaza strip towards southern Israel, the army announced on Sunday.
An army spokesman told the Israeli radio this morning, “the test took place last week, and missiles launched from Gaza were intercepted and exploded in mid air.” “This system would be ready to be used in Israel a year from now,” the spokesman said.
This announcement comes despite a truce between Israel and the Palestinians, in place since June 19.
