Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Prov : An Iranian economic, commercial, industrial, cultural and trade delegation from Khorasan Razavi province traveled to Chinese province of Xinjiang on Saturday afternoon.
The 20-member delegation include managers of car manufacturing industry, businessmen, merchants, director of Aseman Airline Company and a number of executive officials.
Governor General of the province Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh is heading the delegation.
Head of Foreign Ministry Representative Office in North and East of Iran Gholam-Abbas Arbab-Khales told IRNA that the provinces of Khorasan Razavi and Xinjiang are to sign a memorandum of understanding on economic and tourism cooperation.
Arbab-Khales noted the delegation is in China at an official invitation by governor general of the Muslim-populated province of Xinjiang.
The delegation will visit Beijing and other provinces in China aiming to hold talks with state and private officials as well as managers of investment companies.
They will also pay a visit to the production line of the Chinese car of Cherry, the trade central market of Beijing and cultural monuments of the country, he added.
The official said that Iranian and Chinese sides will ink an MoU on assembling of Cherry in Mashhad.
They are further scheduled to sign an agreement on holding a joint seminar on cooperation between private sectors of Khorasan Razavi and Xinjiang, he noted.
Arbab-Khales added that the two sides are to sign agreements on establishing Khorasan Razavi Trade House in Xinjiang, holding solo exhibition on industrial, agricultural and commercial achievements of the province as well as cooperating in transportation and education sectors.
Khorasan Razavi and Xinjiang have started bilateral economic and tourism cooperation since 2000, and signed four memoranda of understanding in that year.
Holding airline cooperation between Mashhad and Xinjiang, exchanging tourists, investing in Mashhad, and exporting commodities are among substances of the MoUs, which will be assessed in this tour, he said.
Xinjiang is an autonomous and Muslim-populated province in northwest of China, having potentials in mine, agriculture and energy sectors to cooperate with Iran.
