He, however, made it clear that BJP would not “adopt unfair means” in this regard and requested Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to resign and seek fresh mandate.

“NDA will attempt that UPA Government did not win the confidence vote. But we will not adopt unfair means in this regard,” he told reporters here.

Talking to reporters after addressing a Youth rally at the Lal Parade Ground on Monday, Singh said his party would contact all its MPs and apprise them about the losses the country would suffer after signing the Nuclear-deal.

Though the BJP chief expressed confidence that UPA was on its way out on July 22, but added that even if the ruling coalition survived, it will have no credibility.

“Even if the UPA Government wins the confidence vote, there will be a government but no governance”, he said, adding that “if there is no governance, it will not be in the interest of the country”.

Singh, in the presence of state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh and state BJP Chief Narendra Singh Tomar, launched a scathing attack on the UPA government for its failure to check rising inflation, tackling terrorism and mishandling India’s Foreign Policy, particularly with neighbours.

However, he doubted if the withdrawal of left support to Congress-led UPA government was a deliberate attempt on the part of the ruling coalition to divert people’s attention ahead of the Lok Sabha (Lower House) polls.
