Kabul : A roadside bombing killed five policemen in Khost province of eastern Afghanistan Thursday morning, officials said.
The attack occurred in Yaqoubi district, said Zamarai Bashari, interior ministry spokesman.
No one has claimed responsibility, but Taliban militants have frequently carried out similar attacks.
Khost has been a hotbed of Taliban militants, who attack government and foreign troops frequently.
Rising Taliban insurgency has left over 2,900 people, mostly rebels, killed in Afghanistan this year.
