Shimla : Two devotees were killed and 40 others were injured when a truck they were travelling in rolled down into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh Saturday, police said.
The vehicle, with more than 50 devotees on board, was going to the historic Baba Balak Nath temple at Deot Sidh, 150 km from here, when the mishap took place near Shahtalai village.
Police said the dead included a woman and a child.
The truck was coming from Ludhiana in Punjab and police said most victims belonged to that town.
The state witnessed a tragedy Aug 3 when at least 145 people were killed in a stampede at the Naina Devi shrine.
