Kuwait, Thailand to promote joint commercial cooperation

Bangkok : A delegation of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), accompanying Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, held a meeting here with members of Thailand’s Chamber of Commerce and the Thai Business Council.

The KCCI delegation to the meeting Monday was headed by its deputy chairman Khalid Abdullah Al-Saqer, board member Ahmad Suleiman Al-Gudhaibi and director of the commerce of chamber’s commercial relations Imad Al-Zaid.

The host country was represented at the meeting by the chairman of the Middle East and North African committee at the Chamber of Commerce, along with major businessman and investors from the different economic sectors.

Both sides discussed ways to boost joint cooperation in food, tourism trade and investment sectors, hailing the deep-rooted Kuwaiti-Thai bilateral relations.

Al-Saqer expressed to his Thai counterpart the KCCI’s willingness to cooperate in organising any upcoming visit from the Asian country to the state of Kuwait and readiness to prepare for future investment-related meetings with the Thai chamber members to work out joint commercial and investment agreements that would serve both countries’ best interests.

On his part, the Thai official expressed his gratitude to Kuwait for paving the way to boost mutual cooperation between the Kuwaiti and Thai private sectors.
