Mann will have to face charges for planning and attempting a Coup d ó etat in 2004 against President Teodoro Obiang Nguema.

The ex member of a government specialized force in the United Kingdom was captured on March 2004 in that capital when landing with a plane loaded with 61 mercenaries and military equipment.

Mann and his comrades were trying to get more weapons and other tools to continue their trip towards the final objective.

Most of the defendants, among them Sir Mark Thatcher, son of ex British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, were released on 2005.

Man enjoyed a brief parole in 2007 but went back to jail later.
