Kochi: The leaders of the BJP and the RSS found guilty by the Liberhan Commission of demolishing the Babri Masjid should be charged with anti-national activity and tried, demanded Adv KP Muhammed Shareeef, Kerala state president of the Social Democratic Party of India. It is a serious matter that the government did not present the report even after five months of submission. The commission was appointed on December 16, 1992 and submitted the report after 17 years. He asked whether the Congress government kept it hidden as the BJP leaders were culprits.
He said that it could be doubted that the ghosts of Narasimha Rao, who stood by for the demolition of the masjid, were in the present government also. The BJP leaders who blackened the face of India are busy trying to divert people’s attention by demanding to investigate how the report was leaked instead of being charged for anti-national activity. The central government should pass a special ordinance to re-construct the Babri Masjid in the right place, he added.
