APMFC wins e-India award 2011

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Minorities Finance Corporation [APMFC] won the prestigious e-India award 2011 for its online scholarship management scheme [OSMS]. The award ceremony held in Ahmedabad was attended by senior state ministers and union government officials. In the function member of Rajya sabha Mrs. Smriti Irani presented the award to the chairman of APMFC, Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi.

The award decision was made on the basis of opinion poll organized by the www.eindia.net.in. Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi told that the award was a matter of pride and he dedicated the award for the untiring efforts of APMFC staff.

It is the sixth of those national awards received by APMFC for their OSMS system, earlier they had won the e-world award of 2011, e-Governance award 2010, e-India award 2010 and SKOCH award 2010.

Andhra Pradesh [AP] minority affairs minister Mr. Ahmedullah congratulated Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi and his staff on the award. He said the transparency and fluent service provided by OSMS is the reason behind those national awards received. He brought in to notice that the staff and officers of APMFC were toiling the whole day and night for the welfare of the minority community.

He said minority students were provided with the best OSMS in the world, which is user-friendly, transparent and 24×7; due to which about five lakh students every year from class one to PG level including all the professional courses like B.Tech, MBBS, MBA, M.Tech, MCA, MS, and MD were successful in getting scholarships and fee reimbursement from state government and Centre. “Being inspired by the OSMS system of AP, the union government have asked all the states to evolve similar online system for their scholarship managements”, he said. Secretary of Minorities’ Welfare Corporation Mohd Ali Rafat also congratulated Mr. Rizvi and his team.
