VHP members booked in Maharashtra for circulating provocative pamphlets

Parbhani (Maharashtra): City police have booked 12 members of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) under section 153 of Penal Code for promoting enmity between Hindus and Muslims by distributing provocative pamphlets in the city.

An FIR has been registered by the Kanya Mandha police station on 22nd March when it was brought to their notice that provocative pamphlets were circulating in the city by VHP cadres.

The pamphlets were issued and distributed by the local unit of VHP on the occasion of arrival of VHP leader Praveen Togadia in Parbhani. In addition to the hatred remarks, the pamphlet also reads that many Islamic Jehadi are roaming free to cause havoc in the country.

Police have booked VHP leaders Anant Pandey, Shiv Prasad, District President of VHP R. Kulkarni, VHP member Abhijit Kulkarni, Bajrang Dal leader Mohan Rao and other members of VHP including the owner of printing press which has printed the objectionable pamphlets.
Police Inspector Waghmare has been appointed to thoroughly investigate the case.
