Jamia to deliberate on implications of 2014 elections on Dalit and Minorities

New Delhi: Dr. K.R. Narayan Centre for Dalit and Minorities Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize an International Conference on “Election 2014: Implications for Dalit and Minorities in India” on September 2 and 3, 2014.

The Inaugural Session of the Conference is scheduled to be held on September 2, 2014 at 9.30 AM in Tagore Hall, Dayar-e-Mir Taqi Mir, Administrative Block, JMI.

Professor Sukhdeo Thorat, Chairperson, ICSSR shall inaugurate the Conference. Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor of JMI shall Chair the Inaugural Session of the Conference.

Professor Sudha Pai of Centre for Political Studies and Rector (Pro-Vice-Chancellor), Jawaharlal Nehru University shall deliver the Keynote Address on this occasion. She will speak on “Analyzing the Performance of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2014”.

A number of important dignitaries, research scholars and academicians across the country and abroad are expected to be present in the two-day Conference to discuss and deliberate on broad topics relevant to the theme of the Conference.
