Bhopal : In order to provide electricity on subsidised rates to the farmers of the state, the Madhya Pradesh State Government has decided to give a grant for Rs. 1885 crore.
This was announced by the Madhya Pradesh Minister for Agriculture and farmers welfare Chowdhary Chandrabhan Singh at a function organised in Atarwada and Boria villages of Chhindwara district, an official Press release said.
Singh further said that as a result of improvement in the education quality under universilisation of elementary education, good results have been obtained by the government schools as compared to the private schools. During the last three and half years, construction of primary schools have been undertaken on top priority and at present construction of middle school buildings is underway. Moreover, in the next phase, construction of high
schools and higher secondary schools will be undertaken.
Singh informed that the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has decided to provide a grant worth Rs. 1885 crore in order to supply the electricity on subsidised rates to the farmers, as electricity rates have been further revised by the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory
Commission.
He also informed that an activity to add the names of the beneficiaries in the below poverty line is in progress. The chief minister Chouhan has given a sanction for expenditure up to Rs. 200 crore for survey work if needed.
Singh apprised himself of the progress under the various welfare schemes. He also dedicated to the people, the middle school and kitchen shed built at a cost of Rs. 60,000 on the occasion. (pervezbari2eth.net)
