Islamabad : The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran here Monday expressed its best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan on the auspicious occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Independence Day of Pakistan falling on August 14.
The Embassy in a message also expressed the hope that cordial and fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations of the Islamic Republics of Pakistan and Iran will be further strengthened.
“Iran and Pakistan since time immemorial were closely connected and related to each other and inherit common culture, language, history and civilization”, the message added.
It said that since last six decades Iran has always been a close ally, friend and supporter of Pakistan and will remain so in the future.
The exemplary fraternal and cordial relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is a message of peace, progress, development and friendship for the region and world.
