Israeli PM rules out dialogue with Hamas

GAZA, Dec 23 (KUNA) — Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ruled out holding dialogue with the Islamic Palestinian organization Hamas.

Hamas is waging a real war against Israel from Gaza Strip, Olmert was quoted by the Israeli media as saying during the weekly meeting of the Israeli cabinet on Sunday, alluding to recurring missile attacks from northern Gaza.

Palestinian media quoted Ahmad Yousef, advisor of the dismissed Palestinian government of Ismail Haniya, as saying that Hamas was ready to work out a truce with Israel and halt missile attacks in exchange for lifting the Israeli siege on Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The Israeli radio also quoted Olmert as saying that the Israeli Army would continue military operations in Gaza till cessation of the missile attacks
