Union Govt. releases SGRY funds to MP

Bhopal, June 13: For the implementation of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY), Grants-in-aid amounting to Rs. 144.24 lakh as part of first installment, out of the Central allocation of Rs.865.41 lakh, has been released to Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh State by the Union Ministry of Rural Development, as Central assistance during the current financial year (2007-08). 
   

According to a release issued by the Press Information Bureau the grant is towards plan expenditure and will be utilized for approved items of works subject to the conditions laid down in the SGRY Guidelines. No deviations from the guidelines is permissible. 
   
The expenditure on implementation of the programme with regard to cash component is to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Central and the State Government respectively, the release said. ([email protected])
