The proposed school, to be named as 'School of Good Governance and Policy', is slated to work as an autonomous organisation and will be run by a governing body with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as its chairman.

This was decided at a state cabinet meeting held here a few days ago.

A sum of Rs.50 million has been earmarked for the establishment of the school, said an official Saturday.

A high-level committee, to be chaired by the state chief secretary, is also being constituted for construction of the institution and appointment of staff.

The school will provide a platform for various organisations and welfare groups to make administration people-oriented.

"The school will provide technical guidance and services to local bodies and organisations of national and international standard for research in their programmes and administrative reforms," said the official.
