"I will sue all those who have troubled me," 68-year-old Quattrocchi told news channel NDTV on phone Monday from a place near Buenos Aires.

Quattrocchi, accused in the Bofors gun purchase payoff scandal of the mid-1980s, had been detained in Argentina earlier this year following an Interpol alert.

However, an Argentine court this month rejected the Central Bureau of Investigation's plea to bring him to India for trial.

Pleading innocence, Quattrocchi said, "I was shocked at false charges levelled against me."

Maintaining that he "never had any contract with Bofors", he said: "I am ready to face trial in Italy. (But) I am not ready to go to India to face trial."
