London : India's leading beautician Shahnaz Hussain has tied up with a partner in Harley Street – a street here known for private health care centres that are frequented by celebrities – and is introducing Ayurveda treatment for high-end clients.
Hussain will enter into tie-up based on her franchise system with the LXiR Centre of Excellence on July 5. Starting Shahnaz Ayurveda on Harley Street is indicative of the increasing worldwide popularity of Ayurveda as an alternative therapy.
Husain, currently in London, said: "Ayurvedic aesthetic treatments have become an important component of cosmeceuticals. Introducing our treatments on Harley Street is the biggest achievement in the 5000 year old history of Ayurveda. It is an Ayurvedic coup."
Cosmeceuticals is a fast emerging concept, serving as a bridge between aesthetics and medicine, developed specially for medicinal and cosmetic benefits, a press release from Hussain's company here said.
Shahnaz Husain and LXiR share the principles and beliefs of holistic aesthetic care. During the last three decades, Shahnaz has been propagating the Ayurvedic path to beauty, based on the principles of holistic health, with yoga and meditation as an integral part of the individual cure and care programmes.
The Shahnaz Husain specialized clinical treatments and therapeutic formulations have received international acclaim as a perfect practical application of Ayurveda. The treatments use plant ingredients and natural substances, known for their powerful healing and skin rejuvenating properties, the release said.
She added: "The curative aspect of Ayurveda cannot be ignored. We have seen the miraculous effects of Ayurveda on the skin."
The franchisee, LXiR, will incorporate the Shahnaz Husain Ayurvedic treatments for specific skin and hair problems like acne, scars, hyperpigmentation, age spots, premature ageing, skin rejuvenation, under-eye bags, dark under-eye circles, alopecia, hair loss, scalp disorders, etc.
The Shahnaz Ayurveda clinic on Harley Street is the brainchild of Kish Soneji and Parag Patel of LXiR, an integrated multi disciplinary holistic practice, which also provides solutions for facial aesthetics.
According to Patel, "We have a simple aim of 'total patient care.' We strive to treat all our patients using the 'saatvik' principles of truth and purity…..Truth of diagnosis and Purity of treatments. We welcome the addition of Shahnaz Ayurveda as it is in total keeping with our holistic principles."
