Dubai : The government of Dubai and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation have signed here a cooperation agreement in a bid seen as to help consolidate economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement comes within the framework of efforts of the local economic development and those aiming at boosting the local capabilities in attracting foreign investments.
Director of Financial Circle in Dubai Sami Al-Qamzi who signed the agreement Tuesday said in a statement that Dubai enjoys excellent ties with the biggest financial institutions being a leading economic and financial centre.
He added that “today’s agreement will consolidate our relations with one of the most significant financial institutions concerned with the development of opportunities of Japanese businessmen abroad.”
On his part, Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Kiosoki Chinozawa who signed the agreement on behalf of his country said that Dubai is among the leading centres that lure foreign investments, pointing to the big Japanese investments in Dubai.
He said the bank seeks to foster the Japanese business sector abroad and double efforts of the international economic development saying such step would have positive impact on the Japanese economy.
