Student commits suicide after failing in CBSE exams

New Delhi : A student in the city hanged himself to death after failing in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 exams for the third time, police said Tuesday.

Satish Sharma, 17, ended his life at his residence at Uttam Nagar in west Delhi in the morning after checking his results in a cyber café, police said, adding no suicide note was recovered yet.

According to police, Sharma was studying in a government school and failed to clear the mathematics and English papers in which he had failed twice before.

"The body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy and further investigations are underway," a senior police official said.
