“We will test our strategy against Yuvraj here tomorrow (Monday),” Ponting said after a three-hour practice session of the Australian team.

Yuvraj, in a dream run since the last month’s Twenty20 world cup, hit 121 runs against Australia in the Hyderabad ODI even as wickets kept falling at the other end.

On the big three names in the Indian line-up – Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly – Ponting said that the Australian team had played against them earlier and knew how to tackle each of them.

Referring to the aggression shown on the field by players from both sides, he said that aggression was important at the international level.

“Staring and glaring are all part of it. It is the performance that matters more. You have to perform under pressure and that is what matters.”
