Islamabad : Some 50 security force soldiers went missing in northwestern Pakistan’s tribal area on Monday, local TV channel Dawn News reported.
Military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad confirmed that the army had lost contact with those soldiers and was trying to find their whereabouts in north Waziristan.
The missing soldiers are feared to have been kidnapped by militants during heavy exchange of firing between the security forces and the militants in north Waziristan in the past two days.
