Jeev’s 71 saw him total 10-under 278, while Kapur finished at four-under 284. Jeev picked up 18,000 Euro ($25,701) while Kapur took home 6,900 Euro ($9,849).

It was a poor finish for Kapur, who last week was 18th at Madrid and Jeev was tied 13th at the Indian Open. But in Villamoura, Jeev had three birdies and two bogeys in the final round while Kapur failed to land any birdies and had five bogeys.

Steve Webster lifted his second European Tour title with a brilliant final round 64 for a 25-under 263. He dedicated the win to his mother who passed away five months back. Sweden’s Ryder Cup star Robert Karlsson finished second best after carding 65.
