Khartoum : Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir, Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa, and the representative of Saudi Arabia willl address the opening of the Arab Conference on the humanitarian situation in Darfur her Tuesday.
The conference will be attended by representatives from all Arab states as well as from official and people’s institutions, the private sector, Arab funds and all national organizations operating in the humanitarian fields.
Presidential Adviser Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, who chairs the higher preparatory committee for the conference, said Monday that all preparations had been completed for convening the conference.
He added that projects at a total cost of some half a billion USD had been prepared for the conference, explaining that the conference was aimed at rehabilitation of the war-affected areas, realizing development and provision of services, specially water, health, education, housing and food.
Dr. Ismail pointed out that delegations for the conference would pay field visits to the Darfur states.
