Kabul : At least three civilians died in Kandahar Afghan volatile southern province when a NATO fighter plane bombed alleged rebel positions in that region, governmental authorities reported on Tuesday.
The administrative chief of Panjwai district Hajji Shah Baran declared to the media that NATO planes killed three farmers who were working in their lands in the area.
Baran urged the Atlantic Alliance forces in Kandahar to start investigating the incident in order to establish the magnitude of the event that have killed innocent people.
However, spokesmen from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) under the NATO command, declined to make any comment for the time being.
