Mumbai: The Spanish Consul House in Mumbai gave assurance to the family members of the Indian Muslim youth Roshan Jamal arrested with allegations of terrorism that action will be taken in this case after completing enquiry.
The assurance was given to Jamal’s wife Farida Roshan when she met the consul general in the company of BJP MLA Raj Prohit and head of BJP minority cell Haidar Azam on 31st March.
Roshan Jamal was arrested from a mosque in Barcelona after Fajr prayers. He is in jail since last seventy days. Neither has he been produced in any court nor has any order for his release or hearing been issued.
Indian intelligence agencies have reportedly given him clean chit. They said Roshan Jamal was a merchant and accusations against him were unfounded. Jamal, residing in Jogeshwari, was a graduate from Saint Xavier College. He had gone to Spain in connection with his olive oil trade where he was detained.
