The picture of Muslims that western media is depicting clearly communicates only this message that Islam and Muslims are abominable things, said Husain who was addressing an intellectual gathering called by the Institute of Objective Studies (IOS) on 11th April. The topic of the program was ‘Islam in Media.’

Husain said international media is committing excesses against Islam as it is under the control of Zionists, as a result of which any published news relating to Islam convey some negative message regarding Islam. However, there is also one advantage of this bias: unbiased people are getting attracted toward understanding Islam, he continued.

Husain said the greatest responsibility in newspapers or TV channels falls on script writers and editors who add ‘extremist’ or ‘terrorist’ with the names of Muslim organizations while re-writing the reports coming to their desk.
