Belgrade : One football fan was killed and another seriously injured in a clash of hooligans in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second-largest city, Serbian police said Tuesday.
Police said the victim was fatally wounded in a shooting incident and that further details would be revealed after the investigation.
The mass-brawl broke out late Monday night, in a fight reportedly pre-arranged on the Internet between fans of Vojvodina Novi Sad and Partizan Belgrade.
Vojvodina and Partizan fans already clashed in Novi Sad over the weekend, following the first-division match between the two clubs. Some 30 hooligans were detained then.
