Speaking to journalist, the advisor of the Indian Prime Minister for national security Mayankote Kelath Narayanan said the arrival of the Iranian head of state is expected on April 29.

Among central issues of bilateral relations, which will be discussed at the forthcoming talks, will be the implementation of the IPI gas pipeline project with a capacity of 60 million cubic metres of natural gas a day.

The Indian side has confirmed its readiness for the implementation of the project as soon as possible. However, the signing of the final trilateral agreement have been frozen for over six months already due to uncompleted technical agreements between New Delhi and Islamabad.

The price, which the Pakistani side fixes for pumping of fuel and its transit via its territory, doesn’t suit India. It is expected that India’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora will visit Islamabad this week already to try to solve the emerged contradictions.
