Powerful blast kills 15 in Afghanistan

Kabul : At least 15 Afghans were killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province on Tuesday, officials and residents said.

The attack was carried out in Khogiani district of the province, connecting Afghanistan with Pakistan on the Torkham border crossing.

NATO’s press office in Kabul confirmed the killing of 15 Afghans, but would not give further details about the victims. The press office said 25 more people sustained injuries in the powerful blast. It is yet to be confirmed as who was the target of the suicide attack.
