Kolkata : Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee will meet chambers of commerce representatives Aug 19 to discuss issues related to industrialisation in the state, said a chamber president here Saturday.
“On Tuesday we are organising a meeting with Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss industrial growth of the state and how to make it happen without people being affected,” Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry president S. Radhakrishnan told IANS.
Asked about how the industries look at the meeting, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Sanjay Budhia said: “This is a very positive move. We always look forward to such scopes. We welcome this step whole-heartedly.”
All chambers of commerce in Kolkata have taken initiative to organise this meeting, Radhakrishnan said.
“We always want to work towards faster industrial development of the state,” Budhia added.
All prominent chambers of commerce of the state including Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Indian Chamber of Commerce, Merchants Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Indian Industry are taking part in the meet.
