The parliament has discussed 31 proposals focusing on division of constituencies and the new electoral system.

The decision to vote on the legislative elections law in September was made by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri Tuesday after both the majority and opposition blocs failed to decide on the matter.

The Lebanese political powers agreed, in the national dialogue conference in Doha, Qatar, on May 16, that the division of constituencies should be based on the 1960 electoral law.
